4-strand French braid updo, always a favorite

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a lovely May. Yesterday I fixed my hair in three loose 4-strand French braids and put the length of my hair in a low bun. Many people who saw my hairstyle in person said how much they liked it, including Mickey and Minnie :-)

On another note, Happy Mother's Day to my mom, who told me to look up hairstyles for long hair on the internet when I was stuck in a cinnamon bun rut. When her suggestion paid off and I soon had more hairstyle ideas than I knew what to do with, she said I should start my own long hair blog~ proving once and for all that mother knows best.

Blue Lace Updo

Hi everyone,

My hairstyle today ended up matching the blue lace panel on the back of my shirt, so I'll call this my blue lace updo.  I made a 4-strand braid on one side of my head, using the braiding pattern that Lilith Moon explains so clearly in this video.  Instead of using a chain accent, I made a small English braid and used that as the 4th strand in my braid.  Then I piled my hair into a high bun and wrapped my braid around my bun.
Thank you for coming to see my new post!  Remember to check out my Facebook page when you have time.  I hope you have a beautiful day <3

4-strand blossom braids~ a beautiful new favorite

Hello my friends,

Just when I think I've found a favorite braid, another favorite happens <3  My look today ended up being four random 4-strand braids, meaning that I made no parts before I started braiding.  I just took a small section of hair, split it in four sections, and began my braid, adding hair as I went down.  I put my braids into a low ponytail and pulled on the edges to give them a blossom effect.  Because the braids were 4-strand rather than Dutch braids, the pulled-out sections looked like overlapping loops.  This reminded me of a Micronesian ginger lei, where the stems of the flowers overlap each other in loops.
I finished my braided hairstyle off with a low bun, and took pictures outside in our front yard underneath a beautiful blooming bougainvillea tree.  Thank you for coming to see my post, and I hope you have a wonderful week-end.

Christmas Day hairstyle~ 4-strand Mohawk braid

Merry Christmas, my friends!  I decorated my Christmas t-shirt myself~ such a cute puppy on the front.  I love French bulldogs :-)
I wanted to make sure my hair didn't get caught in the decorations, so I put it up in a bun after making two small English braids as accents to a center 4-strand Mohawk braid.  There were a few present decorations left over from my t-shirt, so I put them on bobby pins and put them in my hair.
I hope you have a lovely day full of joy, peace and love <3
